SNOW LATE AGAIN

As I write this, I am enjoying the snow we have been receiving. Of course, it causes problems: snow clearing, dirty cars, and slippery walks and roads that we have to think about when we’re out and about. It came very late again this year and is certainly welcomed by snowmobilers, skiers, and businesspeople. It’s another reminder of the changing climate and to think about what we can do together to reduce the worsening of the multiple effects of the greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. For those of you who are alarmed as I am because of the implications on our ability to adapt and live on this planet, I invite you to join me and others in congregations of the United Church of Christ who believe it is our duty and mission to learn about and counteract the causes of these changes. Churches in the Wisconsin UCC have formed Creation Care chapters working on this very issue. You can look up more information on the Wisconsin Conference UCC website under “Creation Care”, or you can contact me thru the church office.
