What is the Purpose of the Lay Pastoral Care Team?

With compassion, empathetic listening, prayer, readings, and conversation, the Lay Pastoral Care Team offers spiritual support and guidance to members of our congregation in times of life’s challenges, losses, and difficulties, reminding each of God’s constant presence and unwavering love.

The Lay Pastoral Care Team will help our members care for each other’s souls while the church is without a full-time pastor.

Team members provide spiritual support and guidance, but they cannot provide respite care or run errands.  However, if the team member becomes aware of unmet practical needs, she may be able to suggest resources.

To arrange a meeting, contact Wendy, our church secretary, during business hours at

715-365-1535 and express your interest in a visit from an LPC team member.  Wendy will contact one of us, who will call you.  If you want to talk beyond the phone call, you and the team member arrange a time and place.  All meetings and related information are, of course, confidential.
